Passenger transport – Gdansk & Tricity

9-seater minibus with driver across the metro area

Tricity is not one city but a thirty-kilometre strip along the coast. Getting from Gdynia to central Gdansk can take twenty minutes or an hour, depending on the time of day and the route. Knowing that is worth more in this job than the vehicle itself.

We pick up at your address — including the Old Town

Much of Gdansk's Main Town is a restricted traffic zone, and Długi Targ, Mariacka and Piwna are pedestrianised. A minibus cannot pull up outside a hotel on Długi Targ, because no vehicle can.

In practice we agree the nearest point that can legally be reached — usually Podwale Przedmiejskie, Wały Jagiellońskie, Targ Węglowy, or the street beside the hotel if it has access. Give us the hotel name when booking and we will propose the pick-up point and pass it to the driver. You do not need to work it out on a map.

Paid parking zones

Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia each operate their own paid parking zone, with separate rules and hours. For a short stop — dropping passengers, loading luggage — this is irrelevant. It matters when the minibus has to wait on site for several hours, during a conference or a company dinner.

So for journeys with a longer wait we tell you upfront whether parking charges apply and what they will be. It is one of the items we quote separately — see the pricing page.

When Tricity grinds to a halt

Things we take into account when setting a pick-up time:

  • Rush hour — aleja Grunwaldzka, the main axis linking Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia, can back up along its whole length morning and evening. The ring road is often quicker despite being longer.
  • Summer season — traffic towards Sopot and the beaches builds from June, and during the St. Dominic's Fair part of central Gdansk is closed to vehicles.
  • Major events — matches and concerts at the stadium in Letnica, and events at Ergo Arena on the Gdansk–Sopot boundary, change traffic management across the whole area.
  • Trade fairs and conferences — around AmberExpo on show days, access and parking look nothing like they normally do.

If your journey falls on one of those dates, we set off earlier. Better the minibus waits five minutes than someone misses a meeting.

Routes we run most often

The Tricity ring road, Trasa Sucharskiego and the tunnel under the Martwa Wisła usually give several ways to reach the same place. The choice is the driver's and depends on the hour — and it costs you nothing extra, because the fare is agreed in advance rather than metered by distance actually driven.

Typical journeys for us:

  • hotel → Gdansk airport and back,
  • Gdansk → Gdynia → Sopot within a single conference day,
  • collecting a group from Gdansk Główny or Gdynia Główna station and taking them to their accommodation,
  • runs from the ferry terminal in Gdynia,
  • evening pick-ups from restaurants and bars — one minibus instead of several taxis.

Who we usually drive

Companies running events in Tricity, groups arriving for conferences and training, wedding parties, and private customers who need to move a larger group at once. We issue VAT invoices for business customers, and for ongoing work we set fixed rates — see employee transport.

Why us

Our base in Pruszcz Gdański sits right by the ring road and close to the airport, so the run to collect you within the metro area is short — which shows up in the price. We have been driving here since 2013 and have covered most of these routes hundreds of times.

We carry passengers in 9-seater LONG-wheelbase minibuses — Volkswagen T6 Caravelle and Ford Tourneo Custom, replaced at most every two years. Details on the fleet page.

A journey around Tricity

Give us the address, the time and the number of passengers. We will choose the pick-up point ourselves — including in the city centre.
