Accessibility statement

What we did, what we tested and how to report a problem

We want bus-brothers.pl to work for everyone — including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, enlarge the text, or find colour hard to distinguish. Below is what we have actually done, what we tested, and what we have not tested.

Conformance status

The site is built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. All 27 pages across both language versions pass our automated checks with no failures — contrast, keyboard operation, heading structure, alternative text and target sizes included.

This is not a claim of full conformance. Automated testing catches a large share of problems but not all of them; what we have not checked is listed below.

What works

  • Keyboard operation. The whole site can be used without a mouse. Whatever you are on carries a clear blue outline, visible both on the white page and on the dark footer.
  • Skip link. The first thing Tab reaches is “Skip to content”, which jumps past the menu straight to the page content.
  • Contrast. Text meets at least 4.5:1, and large text and graphical elements at least 3:1.
  • Zoom. Text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content. The site does not block pinch-zoom on phones.
  • Narrow screens. The layout works down to 320 px wide with no horizontal scrolling.
  • Structure. Headings run in order, the page exposes banner, navigation, main and contentinfo landmarks, and the menu and breadcrumbs are labelled for screen readers.
  • Images. Every image has alternative text; purely decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
  • Reduced motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, content appears immediately with no fade-in effects.
  • Without JavaScript. With JavaScript off, the page content — including the FAQ answers — stays visible.
  • Target sizes. Buttons and links in lists are at least 24 × 24 px.

What we have not tested

Honestly: our testing is automated and covers what can be measured.

  • We have not tested the site with people who use screen readers or other assistive technology day to day.
  • We have not assessed how readable the language is for people with cognitive disabilities.
  • The Google map on the Contact page is a third-party embed — it only loads once you click, and its accessibility is outside our control. The address and directions are given as text too, so the map is never the only source.
  • Links to WhatsApp, Facebook and Google Maps open in a new tab.

How we check

Accessibility is tested automatically on every rebuild of the site: every page, in both languages, at desktop and phone widths. Contrast is calculated from the colours the browser actually renders rather than from what the stylesheet declares, which is how overlapping rules get caught.

The assessment is a self-assessment carried out by the site's developer. No external audit has been commissioned.

Found a problem? Tell us

If something here is unreadable, cannot be clicked, or does not work with your software, let us know. We take these reports seriously and we answer them.

Email biuro@bus-brothers.pl — accessibility report or call +48 888 811 490. Tell us which page and what went wrong — knowing your device and software helps most.

We normally reply within a few working days. If something cannot be fixed quickly we will say plainly when we plan to do it — and in the meantime we will handle your enquiry by phone: a booking and a quote can always be arranged over the phone, without using the website at all.

Accessibility of the vehicles

This statement covers the website. Carrying passengers with reduced mobility is something we discuss case by case — the minibuses are standard, with no lift and no space for an unfolded wheelchair, but a folding wheelchair fits in the luggage compartment and the driver will help with boarding. Call before booking and we will tell you straight whether we can handle your situation.
